The New Jersey Devil 100 starts at 6am on October 10th, 2020 at the Lake Absegami Day Use Area in Bass River State Forest.
All participants will park at the Lake Absegami Day Use Parkng Lot in Bass River State Forest. which is the start/finish location.
Directions to Parking
From the Garden State Parkway:Take exit 52 for New Gretna. Turn right onto Route 654/E Greenbush Road. After 1 mi, turn right onto Stage Road. Continue on Stage Road for 0.8 mi, then turn left into the Bass River State Forest. Drive straight back for .4 mi and park in the Lake Absegami Day Use Area lot on the right .
From the North by US-206:
Head south on US-206 and make a left onto 530 E. After 2.7 mi, turn right onto Magnolia Road. At the traffic circle, take the second exit onto 72 E. After 3.5 mi, turn right onto 563. After 13.7 mi, you will reach a fork in the road. Make a slight left onto 679. Go 5.7 mi then make a slight left onto 653/Leektown Road. After 1.1 mi, continue onto Stage Road. Drive 1.2 mi on Stage Road, then turn left into Bass River State Forest. Drive straight back for .4 mi and park in the Lake Absegami Day Use Area lot on the right .
From the West by NJ-70:
Take NJ-70 East to intersection with US-206. At traffic circle take the 1st exit onto US-206 South. After 14.7 miles turn left onto Middle Road (Route 613). After 1.3 miles turn left onto Myrtle Street. After 0.2 miles make slight left onto Columbia Road (Route 693). Follow 693 for 2.7 miles then turn left onto Nesco Road (Route 542). Follow 542 for 13.5 miles. Bear left on Leektown Road (Route 653) and follow it for 2.7 miles. Merge onto State Road and follow it for 1.1 miles to a left turn into Bass River State Forest. Drive straight back for .4 mi and park in the Lake Absegami Day Use Area lot on the right .
The entire Batona Trail is marked with pink blazes.
The first and last 2 miles of the course will be marked with reflective tape, flagging and race signs to direct participants along the stretch leading to and from the parking lot at Lake Absegami Day Use Area in Bass River State Forest.
There will be eight well stocked aid stations with standard ultra fare including, but not limited to: water, Gatorade, soda, pretzels, candy, chips etc.

Drop bags will be available at 3 aid stations along the course: Batona Campground, Evan’s Bridge and Mt. Misery.
100 mile runners will pass the Evan's Bridge and Carranza Memorial stations on the way out and back in. and will also pass Mt. Misery at 50.1
Participants should clearly label their drop bags with their NAME and AID STATION / MILEAGE and leave them at the Start. All bags will make their way to the Finish line as aid stations close down.
100 Mile runners can utilize pacers starting at the Mt. Misery aid station (mile 50.1) . A runner may only have 1 pacer running with them at any given time.
The course time limit is 30 hours.
All participants must be finished by Noon on 10/11/20.
100 Mile Cutoffs
Cutoff times have been implemented for the safety of participants and volunteers. No participants will be permitted to leave an aid station after the cutoff has passed. NO EXCEPTIONS.
The 100 Mile course has an elevation gain of approximately 958', It is nearly pancake FLAT.

Race Swag for all registered participants, Finishers item and Top 3 Overall Male & Female will receive custom awards. Buckles for all 100 finishers who finish within the 30 hour time limit.
All participants wishing to run the 100 mile distance must have completed at least one official trail race of 50 miles or longer. Participants must enter their qualifying race, date and distance at the time of registration.
Near the Start: Camping is available in the Brendan T. Byrne State Forest, which is located approximately 15 minutes from the start. Tent campsites and yurts are available. Click here for more information. Near the Finish: Camping is available at Pilgrim Lake Campground and Bass River State Forest.
